​Irrfan Khan Was An Encouraging Man Says Smilie Suri

Sister of film director Mohit Suri and the niece of Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, actress Smilie Suri mourns the demise of actor Irrfan Khan, says he was a good and encouraging human being.

Actor Irrfan Khan has died at the age of 54, after being admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Tuesday, where was under observation for colon infection. The actor in 2018 had announced that he’d been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour.

Talking about the Irrfan Khan’s demise, Smilie Suri said, “Really shocking and it’s really sad that we’ve lost someone like Mr. Irrfan Khan, who was such a talented actor. I remember meeting him and interacting with him, on the sets of Vishesh Films, one of the films they were shooting. I met him Mahesh Bhatt’s office”

“I remember him being very encouraging and never lose hope, everyone’s time will come, you know, encouraging and remarkably good human being. And this is really heart breaking and sad that immediately after his mother passed, Irrfan also passed away” added Smilie.

Further adding Smilie Suri said Irrfan Khan was an institution and there aren’t many actors left in Entertainment industry.

She said, “I am huge fan of his work and his recent film, Angrezi Medium, he was outstanding. He was an institution and I don’t think there are any actors left like Irrfan Khan. I am in shock that he is no more. He will be missed and we will miss him. May his soul rest his peace and family be safe and I know his family will never get over his loss, he can never be replaced. But I hope and pray, my condolences are with his family, the Bollywood industry has suffered a big loss.”

Smilie made her acting debut with Kalyug, and she has assisted her director brother Mohit with Zeher.
