​Bollywood Stars Joined #9baje9minute PM's Call To Light Diya And Candle

While the doctors, policemen and other essential service providers are fighting for the country at the front level, rest of the Indians are trying to show their support by following the Lockdown. PM Shri Narendra Modi had appealed the citizens to switch off their house lights at 9 pm for 9 minutes on 5th April, 2020. The whole India came outside their balconies with a diya or a candle and showed their collective resolve to combat the deadly COVID-19. Bollywood stars also showed their solidarity in the initiative.

Bollywood celebrities came out in numbers and lit a diya or a candle at their balconies to show we are all together in this and we shall fight this one. From power couples Ranveer Singh -Deepika Padukone, to Virat Kohli- Anushka Sharma, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Tapsee Pannu, Arjun Rampal, Vicky Kaushal, Sunil Shetty, Ananya Pandey, Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Kartik Aryan and many other stars showed their support in PM's initiative of bringing the country together to fight this menace.

PM Modi on friday had urged the countrymen to turn off their house lights for nine minutes and light a lamp to depict country's togetherness in fighting this deadly virus. He himself posted his pictures on the social media where he can be seen lighting the lamp. Prior to this, he had asked the people on March 22 during the Janata Curfew to clap for 5 minutes at 5 pm for all those who are fighting for the country during this difficult time.

PM's initiative got an overwhelming response yesterday and the citizens together with the bollywood stars showed, we are all together in this one.
