Actress Rakul Preet Singh says it’s not just other women’s job to uplift woman, it is man’s job as well, on the sidelines of Lakme Fashion Week 2020 here in Mumbai.
Rakul Preet Singh walked the ramp for Ajio brand at ongoing Lakme Fashion Week 2020 here in Mumbai. During her media interaction, actress was asked about women upliftment being other women’s job. She said, “It is not for women to uplift each other, it is for the entire society to come together and uplift the one’s that needs to be, whether that is a man or woman. I am happy that there is a dialogue that has begun on everyone being on the same page and same level and getting the similar opportunists. It is not just woman’s job to uplift other woman; it is man’s job as well.”
Rakul Preet Singh has carved a niche of herself, whether being on-screen or off-screen. Talking about her fashion quotient, she said, “I am very basic when it comes to fashion. My off-duty style is all about comfort, because on sets, you cannot really decide what you want to wear. So when I am off-set, you would see me in shorts, a pair of jeans, tee-shirts. I like to wear something which is comfortable and in my zone”
Walking the ramp could be daunting task, but Rakul Preet Singh believes that it comes with a lot of responsibility and pride.
She said, “I think, it was easiest walking the ramp this time as I am wearing something which is so much fun and comfortable, this is so me. I didn’t have to worry about the trail or making a turn. I had fun walking in this outfit and I think I really like the motto of Ajio, long live bold, in terms of the fashion. It was great, it is always fun to walk ramp and I loved it”
