Vote Delhi, Every Vote Counts Says Taapsee Pannu

Actor Taapsee Pannu has cast her vote for Delhi Election and urged everyone to go out and vote, as every single vote will make the difference.

Delhi Assembly Elections 2020 Polling has started. Around 1.5 crore eligible voters of Delhi will elect representatives for the 70-member Delhi assembly from 672 candidates today.

Actor Taapsee Pannu just took to her social media profile and shared a picture with her sister and parents, post casting their vote. She captioned it, “‘Pannu Parivaar’ has voted. Have you? #VoteDelhi #EveryVoteCounts”

Delhi Elections is a tri-battle among Aam Aadmi Party, BJP and Congress. The polling marks the end of a bitter face-off that saw exceptionally coarse language and communally-charged attacks. Tight security arrangements are in place across the national capital with extra vigil in south-east Delhi's Shaheen Bagh, where a protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act is going on for nearly two months, and other sensitive areas.

Meanwhile on the work front, Taapsee Pannu is currently promoting her next outing with filmmaker Anubhav Sinha, titled Thappad. The film revolves around a woman who files for divorce when her husband slaps her.

The film also stars Pavail Gulati, Ratna Pathak Shah, Tanvi Azmi, Dia Mirza, Ram Kapoor, Kumud Mishra, Nidhi Uttam, Manav Kaul, Gracy Goswami and Sandeep Yadav. It will be theatrically released on 28 February 2020.

Taapsee is also shooting for Haseen Dillruba, which is directed by Vinil Mathew and produced by Anand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma under the banner Colour Yellow Productions. The film also stars Vikrant Massey.
