Ajay Devgn Breaks His Silence Over JNU Violence

Finally Ajay Devgn breaks his silence on the JNU Violence and urges everyone to keep peace and brotherhood, and not derail it consciously or carelessly.

Entire youth brigade including Bollywood celebrities rallied for support when JNU students and staff were attacked by masked men armed with sticks and rods. At least 28 people, including JNU Students' Union president Aishe Ghosh, were injured as chaos reigned on the campus for nearly two hours.

Bollywood celebrities hosted peaceful protest across Delhi and Mumbai. Bigwigs such as Anurag Kashyap, Anubhav Sinha, Gauahar Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Sudhir Misra, Vishal Bhardwaj, Reema Kagti, Zoya Akhtar, Dia Mirza, Rahul Bose, Richa Chadha, Ali Fazal, Reema Kagti and more openly condemned the JNU Violence.

Recently Deepika Padukone also joined hands with JNU hands to condemn the violence and show solidarity. But up until now, none of the major league male actor’s has given any statement on the matter.

Breaking his silence on the day his movie Tanhaji released in theatres, actor Ajay Devgn just tweeted. “I have always maintained that we should wait for proper facts to emerge. I appeal to everyone- let us further the spirit of peace and brotherhood, not derail it either consciously or carelessly #JNUViolence”

The tweet came just when the Delhi Police released photographs of nine suspects identified for the violence at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) last week, naming mostly members of the Left-controlled students' union but giving few details on the attack by a masked mob on students and teachers on Sunday evening.
