Alia Bhatt Starts Shooting For Gangubai Kathiawadi
Actress Alia Bhatt shares the best Christmas present with her fans and confirms that her first outing with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi has gone on floors and the film releases on 11th September 2020.
Alia Bhatt has finally kick-started the shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. The actress took to her social media to post a photograph of her vanity van which had a placard of Gangubai. She captioned it, “Look what Santa gave me this year...#GangubaiKathiawadi 11th Sept 2020 #SanjayLeelaBhansali @bhansali_produc @prerna982”
Earlier Alia Bhatt was to star opposite Salman Khan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah, but the film got shelved but soon after, the makers confirmed Gangubai Kathiawadi.
The official handle of Bhansali Productions shared the same. It said, “Sneak-peak into the world of Gangubai Kathiawadi. In cinemas, 11th September 2020. @aliaa08 #SanjayLeelaBhansali @prerna982 @jayantilalgada @PenMovies”
The film is an adaption of journalist S Hussain Zaidi’s, Mafia Queens of Mumbai and it revolves around one of the most loved and renowned ladies in Mumbai, of the Kamathipura brothel, during the 60s. The film also stars Vijay Raaz in leading role.
