Dream girl Hema Malini along with Rajkummar Rao and Rakul Preet Singh, starring Shimla Mirchi’s first official trailer is out. This romantic caper has some serious twist and turns, which are hilarious!

The official handle of Viacom18 Studios dropped the trailer on social media. They captioned it, “Kya hota hai when write goes wrong? Shimla Mirchi is an unusual love story, where a hopeless romantic meets the wildfire girl of his dreams but unfortunately his love letter ends up with girl’s mother and now he is stuck between the love of his life and her mother.

The trailer starts with Rajkummar Rao's character trying to say 'I love you' to a girl. But he starts stammering as he is too scared to do that. He tries to confess his love for Rakul Preet but fails and decides to write a letter to her. This is where the story takes a twist. Rakul's single mother Hema Malini receives the letter and falls in love with Rajkummar, thinking that he loves her back. What follows next are hilarious scenes showing how the misunderstanding affects the lives of Rajkummar Rao, Hema Malini and Rakul Preet Singh.

Directed by Ramesh Sippy, the film also stars Shakti Kapoor, Kiran Juneja and Kanwaljit Singh. The film is scheduled to release on January 3, 2020.
