Actor Varun Dhawan said he is not commenting on current political upheaval and protests across the country because he is being responsible, not scared.

Actor Varun Dhawan along with Shraddha Kapoor, Remo Dsouza, Nora Fatehi, Bhushan Kumar and entire ensemble was interacting with media at the trailer launch of Street Dancer 3D.

When asked about celebrities avoiding questions about current political upheaval in the country, Varun said, “I think it’s a person to person thing, it’s not about fear, and personally I am not scared. I am not scared of anyone because I love my country and I love all my countrymen. I am feeling the safest in this room, with you all around; tell me who is going to touch me?”

“My thing is that, speaking out has become social media, if you haven’t tweeted than you’re in wrong. But what does a tweet mean, is the entire nation is on twitter? So what I feel personally as a person, I can have those conversations with my parents and friends in my living room and I think the best way for all of us to make a difference is by living your life”

“How you’re living your life, how are you at work, who are your friends? I don’t discriminate, that’s the way I have been raised, I am friends with everyone and I work with everyone, that’s me as a person and that’s me setting an example” added Varun.

Street Dancer 3D is directed by Remo D'Souza, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Lizelle D'Souza. It is scheduled for a theatrical release in India on 24 January 2020

Apart from Street Dancer 3D, actor Varun is also collaborating with his father, filmmaker David Dhawan for the remake of Coolie No 1, also starring Sara Ali Khan in the lead role.
