Nation is in uproar about CAB and NRC facing backlashes from students. Recently Jamia Student protest turned violent and Bollywood celebrities such as Farhan Akhtar, Shibani Dandekar, Monica Dongra and lot more was hosting a peaceful protest to show solidarity for students.
When asked about the commenting on it, Varun said, “What is happening in our country is being reported and the reason I do not want to comment exactly on what’s happening because there are four five version floating around. We’re sitting here in Mumbai and something else is happening someplace else, so it is wrong of us to comment until we are 100% certain as to what has happened. Definitely any kind of force used against peaceful protest is wrong”
