Past Few Years Have Changed Me As A Person Says Sooraj Pancholi

Sooraj Pancholi made his Hindi film debut with ‘Hero’ along with Athiya Shetty in 2015. The film didn’t work at the box-office. Before that, he was charged with abetment to suicide after the death of his former girlfriend, actress Jiah Khan, who was found hanging in her Mumbai apartment in June 2013. Jiah's mother Rabiya Khan had accused Sooraj of murdering her.

When asked Sooraj whether past few years has changed him as person, he said, “Of course, it has changed me as a person. When certain events take place in your life then, I feel it increases your pain-bearing capacity. It teaches you so much about life and it shows you who are the right people in your life. It brings you closer to your family and I am very happy about it. Whatever has happened is very sad but it has taught me a lot. Acting is about learning from your past experiences in life be it happy, sad or any other experiences. I think it has not only made a better actor but a composed person”

Sooraj Pancholi was interacting with media for the promotion of his second release, Satellite Shankar.

When asked Sooraj whether he got any film offers after ‘Hero’ bombed at the box-office, he said, “Before, ‘Hero’ released, I had many film offers but I wasn’t getting that ‘wow’ factor from those offers and I wanted to do something really unique and interesting because I knew that I am coming from a filmy family so, I knew that if I will not deliver as a performer then people will crash me down so, I was looking for a script where the director or script make me do something. I was feeling really motivated while shooting this film so, it has been a wonderful experience working on this film”

Helmed by Irfan Kamal, the film also stars Megha Akash. It is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde.

The film is slated to release in theatres on 8th November 2019.
