Bhumi Pednekar Celebrates 2 Years of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha By Providing Sanitation To Girls Hostel
Bhumi Pednekar celebrated the second anniversary of her blockbuster film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha on Monday. The actress over the years has been supporting Abhyudaya Ashram, a residential school in Madhya Pradesh and just shared an achievement she is very much proud of.
Bhumi in Chambal has constructed a hostel and new toilet for the girls of the ashram which was inaugurated on the occasion of the film's 2nd anniversary. She shared pictures from the hostel and captioned them as, 2 Years of #ToiletEkPremKatha...TEPK made me more humble, socially aware and put me on the path to make the world a better place by spreading awareness on sanitation."
The Abhyudaya Ashram reportedly works towards empowering girls and Bhumi has been supporting the school with funds and gifts. She has also been promoting the need for sanitation among girls.
She added, "We constantly are trying to provide better facilities to the children of Abhyudaya Ashram Morena Chambal. And on the 2nd anniversary of TEPK am proud to say that, the new hostels and toilets are fully functional today. There is nothing more gratifying than the love you can spread. Toilet Ek Prem Katha also starrer Akshay Kumar and was directed by Shree Narayan Singh. The film promoted the government’s Swachh Bharat (Clean India) mission and also highlighted the need for women empowerment.
