Gulshan Grover Biography Is Titled Bad Man

The Bad Man of the Bollywood, veteran Actor Gulshan Grover gets his authorised biography out with Penguin India. The book is titled aptly, Bad Man.

The official handle of Penguin India dropped the cover and details about the book. It said, “‏This year, we are proud to present the never before told story of the good man behind the #BadMan @PenguinIndia @GulshanGroverGG”

A small-town boy, Gulshan Grover moved to Mumbai to pursue acting in the 1970s. At a time when most wannabe actors held out for a leading role, he made the conscious choice to opt for villainous roles. He went on to portray many memorable characters, with a career-defining role in the 1989 blockbuster, Ram Lakhan that established him firmly as a villain in Bollywood.

In this authorised biography, Grover tells his story - the films, the journey, the psychological and personal toll of sustaining the 'bad man' image, the competition among Bollywood's villains, the move to playing more rounded characters, and the challenge of doing international films.

Meanwhile on the work front, Gulshan Grover got two massive projects in his kitty, Sooryavanshi and The Mumbai Saga.

Sooryavanshi is directed by Rohit Shetty, and produced by Shetty and Karan Johar under their banner of Rohit Shetty Picturez and Dharma Productions. It is the costliest cop film ever made in Indian cinema history. The film stars Akshay Kumar in the titular role along with Katrina Kaif as the female lead.

Mumbai Saga is Sanjay Gupta's most ambitious project that features John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Prateik Babbar, Amol Gupte and Rohit Roy in the lead.
