As Scam 1992 marks its fourth anniversary, filmmaker Hansal Mehta took to social media to express his heartfelt gratitude and share a sneak peek of what’s next in the beloved series.

In a post on X, Mehta shared a rough-cut trailer edited by Sumit Purohit that ultimately didn’t make the final cut. He wrote, “This trailer has nostalgia, energy, music, and so much that makes this show special. It’s been four years since Scam 1992 released and changed our lives. I’m eternally grateful to my collaborator in chief, Sameer Nair, for the opportunity.”

Mehta extended his thanks to his co-director Jai Mehta, and the brilliant writing team that contributed to the series, including Purohit, Karan Mukesh Vyas, and others. He also acknowledged the teams from Applause Social, Sony LIV, and SPN Studio NEXT, emphasizing the collaborative effort that brought the series to life.

In his post, Mehta hinted at the eagerly anticipated third season of the series, stating, “Can’t wait to do this again with Scam S3.” Following the success of Scam 1992, the second installment, Scam 2003, focused on the notorious Abdul Kareem Telgi and his stamp paper counterfeiting scam, which had a significant impact on the nation.

Mehta’s message included a heartfelt shout-out to the cast and crew, saying, “This is for each and every member of my CREW - you guys were exemplary.” He also expressed his appreciation for the casting team, which played a crucial role in bringing the characters to life.
