In a recent interview, Shahid expressed his enthusiasm about reuniting with Vishal Bhardwaj. "It's always earth-shatteringly difficult and challenging to do any part offered by Vishal Sir," he remarked. He emphasized how pivotal Bhardwaj has been in his growth as an actor, stating, "Some of my best work has been with him. He's definitely been the reason why I was able to discover myself in a different avatar as an actor apart from being seen in a certain space. It's a privilege to work with him."

Discussing the new film, Shahid revealed, "It is a very interesting film. We have chosen the most accessible, relatable subject. Sometimes we choose extremely intense subjects that can be dark and gritty, but this time we have chosen something that is a lot more open, and a lot more people will be interested in a subject like this. So I am very excited." This shift in focus suggests a fresh approach that aims to engage a broader audience.
