Filmmaker KS Ravindra Celebrates 10 Years of "Power" with Ravi Teja

KS Ravindra, also known as Bobby, recently marked a significant milestone in his career as he celebrated the 10th anniversary of his debut film, Power. Released on September 12, 2014, this high-octane action entertainer, starring Ravi Teja, Hansika Motwani, and Regina Cassandra, made a lasting impact on audiences and became a box-office hit.

Taking to social media to share his gratitude, Bobby posted a nostalgic picture with Ravi Teja from the film's shoot. In his heartfelt message, he wrote:

“10 years since my debut film #Power, and it still feels like yesterday! What an incredible journey it’s been! Massive love to the one and only Mass Maharaja @RaviTeja_offl garu for believing in me and giving me the break of a lifetime. Truly grateful! And thanks to my darling @MusicThaman for electrifying music and BGM!”

Bobby's post also acknowledged the support of his team and collaborators, stating, “Special thanks to my producer @RLVenkatesh Garu, @konavenkat99 garu, @Chakrif1, #HariMohanaKrishna, and my entire team.. your unwavering support made it all possible. @ReginaCassandra @ihansika @RocklineEnt #10YearsOfPower.”

Power tells the gripping story of two men whose lives intersect in an unexpected way. Ravi Teja plays dual roles as Baldev Sahay, a corrupt Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in Kolkata, and Tirupathi, a young man in Hyderabad aspiring to become a police officer. The plot thickens when the home minister of Bengal recruits Tirupathi to impersonate Baldev in order to capture a notorious gangster whom Baldev had previously rescued. The narrative unfolds to reveal the reasons behind Baldev’s corruption and how Tirupathi manages to complete the unfinished mission.

The film’s music, composed by Thaman, was a standout feature, contributing significantly to the movie’s success and energy. The collaboration of Bobby with Thaman, Ravi Teja, and the supporting cast resulted in a film that not only entertained audiences but also established Bobby as a promising filmmaker.

This film was remade into Bengali with the same title in 2016.
