On his birthday, Akshay Kumar has been honored with the unveiling of the first look poster for his highly anticipated mythological drama, Kannappa. The actor will portray the revered Hindu deity, Lord Shiva, in the film.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu, Kannappa explores the legendary tale of Kannappa, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva. This film marks Akshay Kumar's debut in Telugu cinema, and he will be joined by a stellar cast including Vishnu Manchu, Mohanlal, Prabhas, and Kajal Aggarwal, who will make special appearances.
The ensemble also features R. Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Kaushal Manda, Rahul Madhav, Devaraj, Mukesh Rishi, Brahmanandam, Raghu Babu, and Preity Mukhundhan in supporting roles.
While the film was originally shot in Telugu, it is expected to be dubbed and released in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and English. Although the exact release date has not been officially confirmed, it is anticipated to hit theaters in December 2024.
