Samantha Ruth Prabhu Attends Launch of World Pickleball League

Bollywood star Samantha Ruth Prabhu made a splash at the launch event of the World Pickleball League (WPBL) in Mumbai on Tuesday. The event was also attended by Gaurav Natekar, the Founder of WPBL, and Arvind Prabhoo of AIPA, among other notable guests.

During the event, Samantha expressed her enthusiasm for sports, noting, “I love watching sports, but I’ve never tried playing pickleball myself. However, I’m keen to give it a shot.”

When asked if she would be interested in starring in a sports film, Samantha revealed her interest: “I would love to do a movie based on pickleball.” She also shared her plans to invite superstar Aamir Khan to join her for a game of pickleball, adding a touch of excitement and star power to the sport.

The World Pickleball League aims to popularize the sport and bring it to a wider audience, with Samantha’s involvement helping to boost its profile.

On the work front, Samantha will be seen in Citadel: Honey Bunny, created, written and directed by Raj & DK and Sita Menon. It also stars Varun Dhawan with Kay Kay Menon, Simran Bagga and Emma Canning. It is scheduled to release on 7 November 2024.
