Javed Akhtar Reminisces About Salman Khan's Childhood at “Angry Young Men” Docuseries Trailer Launch
Legendary screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar took a nostalgic trip down memory lane at the trailer launch event for the upcoming docuseries “Angry Young Men” in Mumbai. Akhtar, known for his illustrious contributions to Indian cinema, reflected on his early encounters with Salman Khan, revealing a charming snapshot of the actor’s childhood.
At the event, Akhtar shared a touching anecdote about Salman Khan’s early years. "When I met Salim Sahab for the first time, Salman wasn’t even one year old. It was 1965," Akhtar recalled. He added, “He is looking so handsome now, but he has been beautiful since childhood. He was an exceptionally good-looking child. Today, Salman is the he-man and this dashing hero, but he was a very shy and quiet child who spoke very little.”
The docuseries “Angry Young Men” will delve into the legendary partnership of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, exploring their impactful legacy and the indelible mark they have left on Indian cinema. The series, set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video in India on August 20, 2024, will feature insights from an array of notable celebrities.
