Salman Khan Praises Salim-Javed at Angry Young Men Trailer Launch: "Glad They Didn’t Pursue Acting"

At the trailer launch of the highly anticipated docu-series Angry Young Men, superstar Salman Khan expressed his admiration for the legendary screenwriting duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar. Speaking at the event, Salman Khan highlighted the unique impact and legacy of Salim-Javed. He remarked, “Zoya Akhtar and Farah Akhtar started this, they came to me, all of us, and I thought it the best thing that could ever happen. I believe that they were the highest-paid writers then, and now as well, they are not leaving their position.”

Khan also shared his thoughts on why it was beneficial that Salim and Javed did not pursue acting careers. “I think it’s a good thing they didn’t pursue acting. They didn’t write for themselves, I am telling you, look at them, you probably cannot find two such handsome heroes even today,” he said, acknowledging their iconic status and contribution to cinema through their screenwriting rather than on-screen performances.
