Feels Amazing Says Rahul Chittella On Bagging SWA Debut Award For Gulmohar

Debutante filmmaker and writer Rahul V Chittela bagged the prestigious SWA Award in Feature Film category for Gulmohar, said it feels amazing.

Rahul Chittella and Arpita Mukherjee emerged as the stars of the night at the SWA (Screenwriters Association) Awards. Their exceptional work on Gulmohar earned them top honors in three major categories: Best Story, Best Dialogue, and Best Screenplay.

Chittella, visibly elated, shared his thoughts with the audience: “It feels amazing to receive this award amidst all these established writers, especially Javed Akhtar, who is an institution. It all starts with the idea, so it feels nice to be awarded for the Best Story because it feels that it’s worth it.” His words reflected the profound sense of achievement and validation that comes with such prestigious accolades.

Gulmohar, a family drama film written and directed by Rahul V. Chittella and Arpita Mukherjee. The film stars Sharmila Tagore, Manoj Bajpayee, Simran, Suraj Sharma, Amol Palekar, and Kaveri Seth, amongst others.
