Model turned actress Suman Rao, who is making her acting debut with The Heist, said she found the character relatable and hence she decided to do it.

Femina Miss India and Miss World Asia, Suman Rao plays the role of Ex-FATF agent Ananya in the movie, who teams up with a con artist to rob a billionaire fugitive of his ill-gotten money and disrupt his smuggling network.

Talking about her role, Suman said, “First time when I read the script, the personality traits of Ananya, my character, I found them relatable. I could see that she is clear with her actions, she has an aim in life and that is also for the betterment of society. So a lot of personality traits of my character related to me personally, I was able to relate with the character a whole lot more, so that was my first instinct, that I can relate with her and I can play her.”

Helmed by Aditya Awandhe and written by Nikita Chaturvedi, the thriller also stars Siddhant Kapoor, and Nad Sham.

Talking about the main objective of the movie, Suman said, “The main agenda with the film is to highlight this particular subject, where phony schemes are introduced to trap simple people, and trick them into believing they will double their money, but it never happens. We wanted to shed some light on that, and in a parallel world, if we robbed a robber, and gave the money back to people, I think that would be the perfect world.”

The film is slated for 19th July 2024 release.
