She said, ““I am dark, my audience and fans know I am dark and they appreciate me for it, on very rare occasion, I’d find someone making racist comment on my social media feed, though I don’t have to do anything, my fans take care of it, they block the comment and have it deleted, but right now if you check my timeline, out of 200 comments, at least 50 are aimed at my skin color. All sort of adjective, such as Kaali Kaluti, Dayaan, and more, but let me tell you all the Elvish Army, Love Army, Shivani Army, whoever is watching this, I am the face, I used to be the face of Glow and Lovely, formerly knowns as Fair and Lovely.”

Poulomi, known for her advocacy of self-acceptance, added, “I don’t care what them army has to say, whatever I am today is because of my skin color, I look different because of skin tone, and I am born with this skin color. I have no shame in it, but if you think that is an issue, my skin tone, then you’re thinking is wrong. I don’t have to clear my skin tone; you all need to clear your dirty thinking.”
