The Instigators Trailer Is Out

Apple TV drops the official trailer for an action comedy called The Instigators, another amusing buddy movie about two guys who end up on the run around a city. Directed by Doug Liman and written by Chuck MacLean and Casey Affleck,

The film stars Matt Damon, Casey Affleck, Michael Stuhlbarg, Paul Walter Hauser, Ving Rhames, Alfred Molina, Toby Jones, Jack Harlow and Ron Perlman.

Rory (Matt Damon) and Cobby (Casey Affleck) are reluctant partners: a desperate father and an ex-con thrown together to rob a corrupt politician's ill-gained earnings in the city of Boston.

But when the heist goes wrong, the two find themselves engulfed in a whirlwind of chaos, pursued not only by police but also by backward bureaucrats and vengeful crime bosses. Completely out of their depth, they convince Rory’s therapist (Hong Chau) to join their riotous getaway through the city, where they all must put aside their differences and work together to evade capture — or worse.

The film is produced by Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Jeff Robinov, John Graham, Kevin J. Walsh, Alison Winter. The film releases digitally on August 9th, 2024 after a theatrical release on 2nd August 2024.
