Actor Pankaj Tripathi, who played the role of former Indian PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, said the role has changed him as a person and as an actor.

On world poetry day yesterday, Pankaj Tripathi along with director Ravi Jadhav hosted a special poetry session in Mumbai, where people were invited to recite their poems celebrating the former great India Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Ji.

Talking about the role and the effects it had on him, Pankaj said, “It was a huge learning for me, it was life changing for me to play the role of Atal Ji, it does so happen that movies come and go, but I am talking about a movie on World Poetry Day in middle of bookstore, this is truly special.”

“As an actor, I got to learn and evolve a lot during this film. I think I became a much better person after playing the role of Atal Ji and reading about him” added Pankaj.

The biographical film, Main Atal Hoon, helmed by Ravi Jadhav and written by Rishi Virmani, also starred Piyush Mishra, Raja Rameshkumar Sevak, Daya Shankar Pandey, Pramod Pathak, Payal Nair and more.
