Engaging, Dramatic And Enthralling Says Randeep Hooda About Swatantrya Veer Savarkar
Actor Randeep Hooda, who is gearing up for his upcoming directorial debut 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, says it’s an engaging, dramatic and enthralling movie.
Randeep Hooda was interacting with media during the trailer launch and talked about the screenplay and drew a parallel with Oscar winner Oppenheimer.
When asked about the screenplay, Randeep said, “We wrote the screenplay in such a manner that it keeps the people engaged from one step to other, and people discover things as they go on. And also from the commercial angle of it, I made sure it was a user friendly film, and not a preaching on Veer Savarkar’s life, rather it was a discovery of his life, as we go along, we he discovers it.”
Adding about narrative of the film as similar to Oppenheimer, Randeep said, “In the case of Oppenheimer, there is one case that is going on in the movie, and they keep cutting back to his life. I have gone the hard way, I have told a linear story, from 1897 to 1950, keeping in mind the reality and dates in mind but writing a way that it is engaging, dramatic and enthralling.”
The film promises to be more than just a biopic and its official note mentions that it will be an epic and daring retelling of India’s armed revolution for independence.
