I Saved Many Lives Says Poonam Pandey, Defends Her Fake Death Stunt

After the fake death fiasco to create awareness about cervical cancer, actor Poonam Pandey made her first ever public appearance, visited the Laxmi Narayan Temple In Andheri, to seek blessing, and defended her stunt, claiming it saved many lives.

Dressed in yellow Anarkali suit and pink dupatta, Poonam Pandey kept her outfit traditional. She was seen carrying the Pooja Thali to perform Aarti in the Temple.

When asked about the fake death stunt and kind of stir it caused, Poonam said, “I don’t even understand what’s the issue here, I did what I did for a good cause, and it went well, check how many women went and had their vaccination done.“

“I mean everyone is taking higher moral ground, why you guys haven’t lied in your life ever, if I can help someone with a little lie, what’s wrong with that, I will lie for good cause again” added Poonam.

When asked a lot celebrities slammed her on social media, Poonam chuckled, “I have never said anything wrong about anyone, on-camera or off-camera, and I am not going to say anything bad today as well, but everyone out there talking bad about me, none of them ever tried to talk about cervical cancer, now when I am trying to do something about it, you all have a problem with it. I have saved a lot of female lives.”

On February 2, Poonam fooled everyone on the internet when a post on her official Instagram handle claimed that she died from cervical cancer. However, a day later, Poonam reappeared on Instagram, saying that she had faked her own death to spread awareness about cervical cancer.

So far multiple complaints have been filed against Poonam for her stunt.
