I Wanted To Explore Horror Genre For A Long Time Says Ajay Devgn About Shaitaan

Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn, who will soon be seen in psychological thriller Shaitaan, says he loved the script and had been wanting to do a horror film ever since Bhoot.

Ajay Devgn along with R Madhavan, Jyothika, Janki Bodiwala, Anngad Bedi, Vikas Bahl and more were interacting with the media during the trailer launch of Shaitaan in Mumbai.

Talking about venturing into horror space, Ajay said, “When I read the script, I Loved it. Plus, Horror is a genre I wanted to work in for a very long time, I did a horror movie a long time ago titled Bhoot with Ram Gopal Varma, and I love this genre and I think everybody connects with the genre.”

“I really believe, be it any culture or religion, whether it’s our country or some other country, black magic and stuff is considered in every culture, everyone believes in it. There is not a culture across the world where people do not believe in black magic” added Ajay.

The film Shaitaan, revolves around a family (Ajay, Jyothik, Janki and Anngad), who go on a vacation to a secluded village, where they encounter a mysterious man (Madhavna), who claims to be their well-wisher. However, he has a sinister motive, and uses black magic to manipulate and torment them. The family soon realizes that they are in grave danger and must fight for their survival against the evil forces.

Shaitaan, is a remake of the 2023 Gujarati film Vash, the Hindi adaptation is helmed by Vikas Bahl and produced under Ajay Devgn FFilms, Jio Studios, and Panorama Studios. The film is set for theatrical release on 8 March 2024.
