Rasika Duggal Talks About the Unique Filming Process of "Fairy Folk"

Actress Rasika Duggal, known for her versatile performances, is gearing up for the release of the film "Fairy Folk," which promises to be a unique cinematic experience. Directed by Karan Gour and also starring Mukul Chadda, the film has garnered attention for its innovative approach to storytelling.

Director Karan Gour, along with Rasika Dugal and Mukul Chadda, were interacting with the media to promote Fairy Folk in Mumbai.

When asked about whether the entire film is based on improvisation, and that’s why it is shot linearly, Rasika said, “When a script is given to you, mostly all the directions are written down, who is saying what, who is doing what, and the screenplay is very detailed. In Fairy Folk, every scene had a structure, and few lines were written as to what Karan wanted from the scene with that information, and few details about my own character, and my co-star Mukul had some brief about his character, and then we improvised the scenes.”

“I had fun improvising every scene, for an actor this is the best thing ever could happen, because we were improvising the scenes, we had to shoot the film linearly, which means, the order you see the film, we shot the film in the same manner. None of the films are shot linearly, but we shot the film linear, because of improvisation, and it was once again the actors' delight, if I get one more such opportunity, I will do it again” added Rasika.

Helmed by Karan Gour, Fairy Folk delves deep into the complexities of human relationships. The film also stars Nikhil Desai, Asmit Pathare, and Chandrachoor Rai.

The film is slated for 1st March 2024 release.
