Among the dignitaries invited to attend the inauguration of BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Abu Dhabi, is filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who just took to his social media profile and shared a post expressing his excitement.

Sharing a picture of himself, Madhur wrote, “Excited for the grand @AbuDhabiMandir inauguration in #AbuDhabi! A magnificent architectural marvel celebrating cultural harmony. Can't wait to witness history being made”

Madhur also shared a video post, where he is seen on his way to the ceremony, in the video the filmmaker is seen saying, “Friends, I am on the way to attend, BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi, UAE. It’s the biggest temple ever to be inaugurated today, I am super excited and happy,  and I am so looking forward to attend this inauguration”.

Indian Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate UAE's historic BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Abu Dhabi on February 14, marking a significant moment for the city's Hindu community.

The temple is adorned with seven spires, the Mandir symbolizes gratitude towards the unity of the seven emirates, reflecting the harmonious relationship between India and the UAE. The seven spires also pay homage to seven important deities, underscoring the interconnectedness of cultures and religions.

BAPS, an acronym for the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha, represents a socio-spiritual Hindu faith rooted in the Vedas, pioneered by Bhagwan Swaminarayan (1781-1830) in the late 18th century and formally established in 1907 by Shastriji Maharaj (1865-1951).

On the professional front, Madhur Bhandarkar had two significant releases in 2022, namely "India Lockdown" and "Babli Bouncer." He also ventured into production for a Marathi movie titled "Circuitt".
