My USP Is Versatility Says Akshay Oberoi

Actor Akshay Oberio, who played the role Basheer Khan in Fighter, says his USP is versatility.

Akshay Oberoi was interacting with the media during a recent promotional event in Mumbai.

Talking about playing varied roles in career, Akshay said, “Every actor needs to offer something, some have an amazing body, some are good at dancing, but I made up my mind early on that my USP will be versatility. I will do different kinds of roles to the best of my ability.”

When asked about collaborating with filmmaker Sidharth for the second time after a mid-budget movie Flesh, actor Akshay said, “I never thought I’d get a huge film and such an incredible scene where people would be clapping and cheering for me on-screen, I got to do such an amazing scene in big film, where I screamed Jai Hind at the top of lungs, it is such a great feeling.”

“The budget and scale of, Fighter was massive, even the vision of the film was bigger. Sidharth and I earlier collaborated on Flesh, it was a small budget project, but Fighter was much bigger in terms of everything, plus I haven’t had a chance to work in such a mega-movie before, I am proud moment for me” added Akshay.

Fighter helmed by Siddharth Anand, based on a story he wrote with Ramon Chibb, also stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, and serves as the first installment in a planned aerial action franchise. The film has collected a whopping 220 crore at the box-office.
