Actor Pankaj Tripathi was present at the Bharat Rang Mahotsav in Mumbai organised by The National School Of Drama on Tuesday where the actor spoke about the mahotsav, being associated with it from the beginning and also the experience of watching live plays.

Talking about the growth of OTT these days affecting the people going to watch plays, he said, "There is a difference of a screen between an artist who performs and the people who watch him. Who would not want to remove that screen and watch an artist perform live.To watch an artist performing live is an altogether different experience. When people woul go and watch live plays, they will come to know the magic of it. '

Talking about being associated with Bharat Rang Mahotsav from the first year, he said, "Bharat Rang Mahotsav was started in 1999 by Ram Gopal Bajaj, then director of NSD. I performed in the very first year of it. I am associated with this mahotsav which is an initiative by NSD. NSD not only trained me in acting but also trained me to become a better person.'

On the workfront, the actor was last seen in 'Main Atal Hoon' which is a compelling biopic chronicling the extraordinary life and political journey of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, India's 10th Prime Minister.
