After the epic success of Dry Day, director and producer Nikkhil Advani kick-starts the shoot of a new web series titled ‘Freedom at Midnight’, which will delve into a pivotal chapter of the country's vibrant history.

Taking to the social media, Nikkhil, who is the director of ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, shared a collage of a clapboard with ‘FAM’ written on it, and a glimpse of the script. The series will chronicles the events around the Indian independence movement and partition. It details the last year of the British Raj, from 1947 to 1948, beginning with the appointment of Lord Mountbatten of Burma as the last viceroy of British India, and ending with the death and funeral of Mahatma Gandhi.

Sony LIV is all set for ‘Freedom at Midnight’ in collaboration with Studio Next and Emmay Entertainment. The series will soon stream on Sony LIV.
