Riteish Deshmukh Directorial Debut Wins Big At ZEE Talkies Awards

Actor Riteish Deshmukh’s directorial debut Ved, won 9 trophies at Zee Talkies – Maharashtracha Favorite Kon awards.

Ved, a romantic drama film directed by Riteish Deshmukh, and produced by Genelia D'Souza, both of whom also star along with Jiya Shankar marking her debut in Marathi films. Ashok Saraf play supporting roles. It is a remake of the 2019 Telugu language romantic drama, Majili.

The film won Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor Male and Female, Best Singer Male andF Female, and Popular Face Of The Year category at ZEE Talkies awards.

Sharing a picture with his wife Genelia and all the trophies on his social media, Riteish wrote, “What an incredible night !!! The film opened in cinema halls with positive reviews, the film minted 75 crore at the box-office, it became the highest-grossing Marathi film of 2022 and the fourth highest-grossing Marathi film of all time, surpassing Deshmukh's own Lai Bhaari (2014).
