Rohit Shetty Talks About Casting Sidharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi And Shilpa Shetty
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is foraying into digital space with his debut series Indian Police Force, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi and Shilpa Shetty. The director talks about casting the main lead with a specific reason.
In a candid conversation, he opened up on the casting of the show and said, "Sidharth Malhotra was the first one to join the cast. We wanted to work together for the longest time and when I offered him this project I told him it would be like a big scale action film and I feel he makes the most handsome cop ever.
“For Vivek's character we were looking for someone calm and experienced and since the time I had written this character, I only had Vivek in my mind.”
“Shilpa plays a senior officer to Sid in the film. Before casting her, this role was meant for a male actor. But it was at the last minute when we decided to cast a lady cop. I felt that to bring a female cop I needed the right script and budget and this was perfect" added Rohit.
