Veteran filmmaker Pa Ranjith clocked his 40th birthday yesterday, and actress Malavika pens a special note for the filmmaker.
Malavika Mohanan took to her social media profile and shared some BTS pictures from Thangalaan sets and wrote, “Where do I even begin…As actors we are constantly hopping from one film to the next. Some are fun, some are difficult, some are cathartic, some to just keep the ball rolling.”
“But If I had to pick a film that changed me as a person, it would be this one. (And that’s not a light statement) It made me dive deeper into myself than I have ever had to, it made me question things I had never questioned, it made me push myself in ways I didn’t even know possible. And then one day you realise it’s not because of the film, it’s because of the person making it.”
“After working together for almost a year, I don’t think I can even speak about him without getting overwhelmed. When we started off I used to be so intimated by him, but now I have the pleasure of calling him of my dearest friends. Such a wonderful mix of strong and sensitive, taskmaster yet the kindest one at that, a man who walks his talk, who will fight for what he believes in, who will be there for you no matter what if he considers you one of his own.
