Yash Raj Films is venturing into the digital space with its first series 'The Railway Men' which will premiere on Netflix on 18th November and the director of the show Shiv Rawail revealed that the show is the perfect way to bring the ethos of YRF into the digital space.

Yash Raj Films is known to give us some of the best romantic films ever and now they are venturing into the digital space with their first project 'The Railway Men' which has been directed by debutant director Shiv Rawail. The trailer of the show has created quite a stir amongst the audience and there has been an eager wait for the show to release.

The director of the show Shiv Rawail spoke about the show and said, "This show is about the people of Bhopal who showed their valour to save lives of the people. The strange part is that these stories were lost in the history books. When I first read the story that Aayush Gupta brought to me, I was mind blown. I went to Aditya Chopra and told him that I have a story with me which is so fascinating, thrilling, compelling and emotional. He was also blown by it and gave the reins of it in my hands.

We started off by making a film out of it. To put it in the length of a feature film we found ourselves removing things. None of us were happy about it and that's when Adi Sir came up with the idea of making it into a 4 episode series. I feel 'The Railway Men' is bringing the ethos of Yash Raj films into digital medium with an engaging story. It is just the perfect way to enter this space."

'The Railway Men' is  based on the World's worst industrial disaster, the Bhopal gas tragedy. How the brave railway workers risk their lives to save others in the face of an unspeakable disaster. It features Kay Kay Menon, R. Madhavan, Divyenndu and Babil Khan. Helmed by debutant director Shiv Rawail and written by Aayush Gupta, it marks Netflix and YRF's first collaboration. It will be released on Netflix on November 18.
