Sharmajee Ki Beti Screened At Jio MAMI, Tahira Kashyap Pens Her Firsts

Tahira Kashyap Khurrana’s debut movie Sharmajee Ki Beti was screened at Jio MAMI Film Festival, the film and the filmmaker received standing ovation from the crowd and debut director penned a heartlet note to express her excitement and gratitude.

Sharing a picture of her parents and series of videos from the screening, Tahira wrote, “The many first’s: (the last slide has my heart, it’s why we make films) - 1. First feature film screening and first standing ovation, 2. Teaching my father how to pose on the red carpet. This is first time he walked the red carpet with me, 3. The long serpentine queue on my second screening. 4. My pillars dressed up for their daughter’s first feature film screening, 5. The long queue outside my first screening, 6. Packed house, 7. The sign I saw for my film for the first time, 8. Standing tall with the team, 9. Laughing loud with my direction team and cinematographer, 10. An audience reaction from today’s screening that has my heart.”
