The Last Rifleman Trailer Is Out
Sky Cinema drops the trailer for a drama titled The Last Rifleman, from filmmaker Terry Loane.
A WWII veteran escapes his care home in Northern Ireland and embarks on an arduous but inspirational journey to France to attend the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings, finding the courage to face the ghosts of his past.
The film stars Pierce Brosnan, Clemence Poesy, John Amos, Jürgen Prochnow, Claire Rafferty, and Desmond Eastwood.
The film tells the story of Artie Crawford (Pierce Brosnan), a Northern Irish World War II veteran who, on the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, decides to secretly escape his care home and embarks on an arduous but inspirational journey through Ireland and across to France, to pay his final respects to his best friend and find the courage to face the ghosts of his past.
The screenplay is written by Kevin Fitzpatrick. Produced by Katy Jackson and John Leslie. A Sky Original Film made by Wee Buns. The film is slated for 5th November 2023 release.
