Independence For Women In India Is Yet To Come Says Bhagyashree

Veteran actress Bhagyashree says that Independence of women in India is yet to come, as the thinking horizon hasn’t expanded for people.

Bhagyashree along with Nimrat Kaur and Radhika Madan was interacting with the media during a press-meet in Mumbai to promote her new release Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video.

Talking about the issue the film addresses, Bhagyashree said, “We often feel that we live in a patriarchal society, which is crucial element of this film, which showcases that no matter who ambitious you are, no matter how much education you give to your daughter and propel them into progress, despite all that somewhere we still want to rein them down, you want to control them.”

“The horizon of our thinking is still the same, we think we did our best to educate our daughters, we have raised them, but independence for women in India is yet to come, that is an important issue” added Bhagyashree.

Helmed by Mikhil Musale and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner Maddock Films, the film revolves around a girl who goes missing after her video goes viral on social media. The film is scheduled to be released on 27 October 2023.
