Netflix Unveils Nyad BTS Featurette

Ahead of its release, the makers of Nyad unveils a stunning BTS featurette about this amazing and inspirational tale of a swimmer, who crossed open sea, 110 miles at the age of 60.

This featurette dives into the making of the film, mainly focusing on casting Annette and Jodie and their experience working with Jimmy and Chai on their first narrative feature after many docs before.

The film stars Annette Bening, Jodie Foster, and Rhys Ifans, the film tell a remarkable true story of athlete Diana Nyad who, at the age of 60 and with the help of her best friend and coach, commits to achieving her life-long dream: a 110-mile open ocean swim from Cuba to Florida, often referred to as the "Mount Everest" of swims.

Determined to become the first person to finish the swim without a shark cage, Diana goes on a thrilling, four-year journey with her best friend and coach Bonnie Stoll (Jodie Foster) and a dedicated sailing team.

Nyad is directed by acclaimed doc filmmakers Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, the screenplay is by Julia Cox, based on the book "Find A Way" by Diana Nyad.
