I Love It When Content Creators Address Mental Health Creatively Says Kusha Kapila

Actress and content creator Kusha Kapila says she love it when creators address the issue of mental health creatively through the content.

Influential mental health advocates such as Ananya Birla, Anshula Kapoor, Kusha Kapila, and Nikhil Taneja came together for an engaging panel discussion, Brave Talk on World Mental Health Day.

Ever since COVID, content creators have shifted their focus on mental health, so when asked if that has made any impact, Kusha Kapila said, “Ofcouse it made impact, point is to start a conversation, once that happens, we all can find solutions. I want everyone, who is going through any sort of mental trauma, able to about it and start their own healing process. Talking about it is the starting point, once that happens, we can find solutions. The more we talk about it in main-stream media, I love it when content creators talk about mental health in various creative ways, I did one on my entire family, which addressed the issue of depression.”

Kusha also added that mental health of students is a growing concern as they are often ignored. She added, “Mental Health of students is ignored alot, people think they are just kids, making up some stuff, and most of the time we don’t even listen to them, I also feel they have alot to say, our future is in their hands, they should be able to have safe spaces around them.”

Arjun Kapoor’s sister Anshula Kapoor also believes that people should be encouraged to talk about their issues, she said, “When you have tummy ache, it takes you no time to express it, but when there is an issue in your head, why can’t you express it, that hesitation is the real issue, and in order to get rid of that hesitation, we wanted to normalize these conversations, it should be as easy as saying I am having a bad day or I am having a bad mental health day.”

The panel discussion was moderated by Varun Duggirala content creator and podcaster.
