Aamir Khan, Sunny Deol And Rajkumar Santoshi Collaborating For Lahore 1947

Mumbai, 3rd October 2023 (Newshelpline) - Actor Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi have collaborated on many mega hits, but due to some misunderstanding the duo hasn’t worked together in decades, but now Aamir Khan has managed to pull the two talented powerhouse for a film, which his home banner will bankroll.

Aamir Khan under his banner Aamir Khan Productions will bankroll a movie titled Lahore 1947, starring Sunny Deol, helmed by Raj Kumar Santoshi.

Confirming the film, Aamir Khan Productions issued a statement, it read, “I, and the entire team at AKP, are most excited and happy to announce our next, starring Sunny Deol, directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi, titled Lahore, 1947. We look forward to collaborating with the immensely talented Sunny, and one of my favorite directors Raj Santoshi.”

According to reports, the film will be based on the famous Punjabi play, Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamyai Nai. The book is written by Asghar Wajahat. About a Muslim family that moves from Lucknow to Lahore, where they find shelter in a big haveli left abandoned by a Hindu family fleeing the city. The drama starts when an old Hindu woman living in the big palace like home refuses to budge from the property.
