Film Fraternity Bids Goodbye To Satinder Kumar Khosla

Veteran actor Satinder Kumar Khosla, popularly known as Birbal, passed away on Tuesday due to cardiac arrest, has been laid to rest. His funeral took place at Versova.

Bollywood senior actors such as Sunil Pal, Ravi Jhankal, Javed Rizvi and more attended the funeral.

Satinder was admitted at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital following his troubled health. He passed away due to cardiac arrest. His final rites took place on Wednesday afternoon.

In a prolific career as a wonderful comedic actor he has done over 500 films in Hindi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri and Marathi. He worked in many of Manoj Kumar films including Upkar, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan and Kranti.

His prominent roles include: a prisoner with a half cut mustache in "Sholay", a drug addict in the film "Anurodh" and an informer in the film "Amir Garib".

Satinder is survived by a son Santosh and a daughter Shalini. He was eldest among three brothers and two sisters. His father ran a printing press in Lahore.
