National award winning actor Rajkummar Rao said that a lot of films are doing good business, and the credits goes to the audience, who are coming back to cinema halls.

Rajkummar Rao was interacting with Newshelpline on the sidelines of Dream Girl 2 success party.

When asked about movies doing great lately at the box-office, Rajkummar said, “Thanks to our audiences that our films are doing good, and once again, the cinema goers are coming back to theaters. Films are doing great, such as Pathaan, Jawan, Gadar 2, Dream Girl 2, Satyanarayan Ki Katha, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, and more, so thank you audience and I am extremely happy.”

Talking about Dream Giril 2 hitting 100 crore mark, Rajkummar added, “Dream Giril 2 entire cast and crew are dear friend of mine, Ayushmann and Raaj are my brothers, there is Ananya, Abhishek Banerjee and more, I think everyone has done a fabulous job, when a film find success, it feels great.”

Last couple of Rajkummar’s release tanked at the box-office, but the actor is hopeful with his upcoming projects, he said, “I guess, one is hopeful with everyone film, some really good movies are about to release, such as Mr And Mrs Mahi, I am shooting Stree-2 right now, so, I am hopeful that they will do good.”

Actor Rajkummar Rao has always picked quirky and off-beat characters, and talking about the same, he added, “I don’t know what’s the reason behind the kind of roles I get, but I think I work with a lot of effort, hard-work, and dedication, and audience appreciate that, perhaps that is reason I keep getting such roles.”

Rajkummar recently wrapped the shoot of SRI, a biopic on visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla, the film will be helmed by Tushar Hiranandani. It will also feature Alaya F, Jyothika and Sharad Kelkar.
