I Am Nervous About My Digital Debut Says Kareena Kapoor Khan
Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is making her OTT debut with Jaane Jaan, said that she is more nervous about her digital debut than her actual debut some 23 years ago.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Vijay Varma along with Sujoy Ghosh were interacting with Newshelpline at the trailer launch of Netflix’s Jaane Jaan.
Talking about her OTT debut with Netflix, Kareena Kapoor said, “I am more nervous what I was 23 years ago, even when I was watching the promo so closely, on a television screen, people will be watching me so close in their homes, I don’t what it is, but I am obviously nervous, I know one thing for sure, we all have worked really hard on the film. Sujoy Ghosh has made a fantastic film. I believe in him, me and Sujoy have been wanting to work together for over a decade, and it just happened.”
The film is based on book, The Devotion of Suspect X, the 2005 bestselling novel by Japanese author Higashino Keigo.
Talking about the journey of the film, from conception to releasing, and working with two power houses Jaideep and Vijay, actress Kareena said, “During the Bhoot Police shoot, my dearest friend Jay and Akshai, had an idea while we were shooting Bhoot Police, and it just came up, why don’t we make the book, I was pregnant with Jeh at the time, and I went to Dharmshala. And everything fell together, Jay told me that we’re making the film, Sujoy is excited about it, and we decided to make it for Netflix.”
