Beautiful And Special Memories From Khal-Nayak Says Sanjay Dutt

Actor Sanjay Dutt, who played the role of Balu Balram in Khal-Nayak, shares some of his beautiful and special memories from the film set, as the film clocks 30 years of its release.

Actor Sanjay Dutt along with filmmaker Subhash Ghai, Jackie Shroff, Arun Bali, Ali Asgar, singer Alka Yagnik and more celebrated the 30th Anniversary of Khal-Nayak release.

Talking about the film and his memories from the sets, Sanjay Dutt said, “I have very special and beautiful memories of the film, the cast was fantastic, working with Jackie Shroff has always been so much fun. But to be honest, the madness of Ballu Balram wasn’t created by me, it was Subhash Ghai who visioned it. It is iconic, and I would like to thank the audience and my entire crew.”

Written, directed, and produced by Subhash Ghai under Mukta Arts Ltd. The plot focuses on the escape and attempted capture of criminal Ballu (Dutt) by sub-Inspector Ram (Shroff) and his cop girlfriend Ganga (Dixit).

The track, Choli Ke Peeche, is still one the most iconic and groovy number, which caused an uproar during the film release because of its controversial lyrics.

Sanjay Dutt also talked about the film when he performed the song wearing female outfit. He said, “I came to sets, wearing my character’s outfit, and Subhash Ghai was like put some Ghaghra-Choli on him, I was so shocked, I even asked him, what are you doing? But he was like, you go ahead and wear it, and I wanted to know why I need to wear Choli, and he was like, you’re doing the Choli Ke Peeche song. It was like a teasing scene to Madhuri ji”

Meanwhile on work front, Sanjay Dutt will soon be seen in Jawan, The Good Maharaja, Ghudchadi, Leo, Baap, Double ismart, Sheran Di Kaum Punjabi, and more.
