Wanted To Do Something Light And Fun Says Babil Khan About Friday Night Plan

Actor Babil Khan, who will be seen headlining breezy self-discovery Netflix film Friday Night Plan, said he wanted to do something light after two heavy projects.

Babil Khan was interacting with Newshelpline during the special screening of Friday Night Plan in Mumbai last night. The screening saw Jaideep Ahlawat, Manjot Singh, Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chadha along with the entire ensemble of the film in attendance.

When asked about doing a fun and light movie after making his debut with emotion heavy drama Qala, Babil Khan said, “I did Qala and Railway man, prior to doing Friday Night Plan, see both my previous films Qala and Railway Man, they are both heavy, and a lot of afterthoughts. So, I thought to myself that I should do a film which is light. We are living in a stressful environment, so I want to relieve the stress of people, give them a lighter moment, that was the only objective behind doing Friday Night Plan.”

“We made this film with a lot of love and my only hope is that it should reach the audience with the same kind of love, that is all” added Babil.

Babil Khan has shown tremendous maturity with his Qala and now fun side with Friday Night Plan, as a mature actor. Talking about the same, Khan added, “I am not going to praise myself, if you believe that I am maturing as an actor, I will take that as a compliment. You all know me, I really don’t take myself seriously, I just know one thing that I need to keep on working, and showcase good work for people, and maintain a connection with people, if I am able to do all this, I am a happy man.”

Directed by Vatsal Neelakantan, the film also stars Amrith Jayan, Juhi Chawla, Medha Rana, Aadhya Anand, Ninad Kamath. It starts streaming on Netflix from 1st September.
