Rakesh Roshan Pens An Emotional Note On His Father’s Death Anniversary

Actor, composer, director and producer Rakesh Roshan pens an emotional note on his father late Roshan Lal Nagrath, a music director who is known for creating some of the timeless classic songs Laagaa Chunarii Me Daag, Man Re Tu Kahe Ne Dhir Dhare and more.

Sharing a picture of his father on his social media profile, Rakesh Roshan wrote, “Years ago, you lit the lamp of music in this film industry with your melodious tunes and today even after years, the magic of your songs are popular among people”

“I was only 18 when I lost your hand and company! But I fought with the situation and tried my best to make that flame burning so you'll shine brighter and brighter. Even today, when I reach some point, I think - If you were here today, how happy you would have been! And now even your third generation is following your footsteps and giving a new dignity to your name. I am sure wherever you are there will be a smile on your face as the evergreen song composed by you keeps resonating on our tongues…Rahe Na Rahe Hum, Mehka Karenge, Ban Ke Kali, Ban Ke Saba! (roughly translated from Hindi).

Roshan Lal made his debut in 1949 as a music composer with Neki Aur Badi movie. His last movie was Dur Nahin Manzil in 1973, which was released after his demise in 1967.

Meanwhile on the work front, Rakesh Roshan will soon be collaborating with his son Hrithik Roshan for Krrish 4.
