Drunkard Yet Smart Queen Says Rajni Arya About Her Role In Paurashpur 2

Mumbai, 5th July 2023 (Newshelpline) - Actress Rajni Arya, who will be seen playing the role Madhumalti in forthcoming series Paurashpur 2, says playing a fully blown drunkard yet smart queen was challenging.

Joining the cast of the historical fiction drama 'Paurashpur' for Season 2, actress Rajni Arya will play the politically charged and yet tipsy character of Rani Madhumalti.

During her interaction with Newshelpline on the last day of shoot, Rajni talked about her role, she said, “She is the second queen, Madhumalti, and she is tipsy. She is drunk most of the time, she is falling here and there, but she is smart, she understands the politics of everything. And despite being drunk, she plays a good game.”

Actress Sherlyn Chopra plays the role of first queen or Maharani Snehlata, and Rajni Arya is the second queen, who will give a tough competition to the first one.

Talking about her challenging role, Rajni said, “It has been challenging, this is the first time I am playing such a character, I don’t think I have played a full blown drunkard queen ever before, so the role had its challenges, but it was fun as well. Today, is my last day of shoot, it is a wrap and pack up. It is a powerful role; she will give tough competition to the first queen.”
