Anil Sharma Celebrates 16 Years Of Apne

Filmmaker Anil Sharma celebrates 16 years of Apne release, the film marked the first ever film featuring entire Deol Clan – Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby, in a sports drama.

Sharing a poster on his social media, Anil Sharma tweeted, “It’s 16 year n look today .. 29June 2007 #apne released ...sach woqt kab kaise guzarta hai samjh hi nahi aata @aapkadharam @iamsunnydeol @thedeol @TheShilpaShetty #kaitreenkaif #kironkher #hemeshreshamiyan #sameer #neerajpathak”

Released in 2007,  sports drama also starred Katrina Kaif, Shilpa Shetty and Kirron Kher. The film opened to an excellent response across India and emerged as a hit overseas as well.

Dharmendra plays the role of a disgraced ex-boxer Baldev Chaudhary who tries to wash a stain in his boxing career through his sons Angad and Karan (Sunny & Bobby Deol).

Interestingly, a sequel named Apne 2 is also in the making, which will feature Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Sunny's son Karan Deol.
